A very ancient temple of Lord Siva:- Siva Yoga Nathar and Ammai Chokka Nayagi, also known as Soundara nayagi and Alagammai. Here Nandhi got aside for Thiru Nalai Povanar Nayanar Nandhanar to pray to Lord Siva.

Nandhanar visited the temple daily. As he belonged to lower caste, the upper caste people did not allow him to get inside the temple. He had to stand at the entrance and pray to Lord Siva. The Nandhi obstructed Thiru Naalai Povar’s view. Lord Siva told Nandhi to get aside as "Thiru Nalai Powar"(Nayanar) could not have darshan from outside the temple.

Thiru Kalikamar birth place. Nandhi got aside for Thiru Nalai Povanar Nayanar Nandhanar to pray to Lord Siva. Sundarar sang padigams here.A big nandhi is there and is located at the side of straight view to notify this incident.
