A very ancient temple of Lord Siva Thiru Maeni Azhagar and Ammai Santha Nayagi, sowndarya nayagi. Lord Siva came here as a hunter and blessed Arjunan. Siva had a bow in his arms. The statue of Ambigai and Swamy is in the form of beautiful hunter disguise. Sambandar sang padigams. Raja gopuram architecture is beautiful.

An epic temple of Lord Siva Parvathi Easwarar, Saminaeswarar and Ammai Parvathi, Sakthi Ammai. Brahman and Ambarishan worshpped and got powers. Brahma Vanam and Mukthi Vanam are the other names of this epic-related small temple. Brahma Lingam as Brahman worshpped here. Raja Lingam as Ambarishan worshipped here. A famous temple of Lord Siva Swamy Dharma Pureeswarar/Yazh Muri Nathar and Ammai Madhura Minnammai/ Amirtha Valli. Thirugnana sambandar sang padigams. Brahman and Yeman woshipped here.

It is the birth place of Yazh Paanar. Yazh Paanar and Thirugnagna Sambandar conversed about their music talents towards Lord Siva. When Thirugnagna Sambandar sang padigam, that could not be played in Yazh (veena) of Paanar, and while he proceeded with musical notes, the strings and Veena were broken. Sambandar also could not continue and Yazh Muri Nathar (swami) proved that he could not be covered within musical notes, but he could be bound only for pure love and devotion.
