An ancient temple of Lord Siva Baha Vinasha Peruman and Ammai Thirukkameswari

The temple is an abode of Lord Muruga. Lord Murugan killed Ranyasuran, second son Surapadman; to take remedy from that, he prayed to Siva at Thirukkura tree and was blessed by Siva. A very tall Subramanya Swamy ( Murugan) beautiful statue is here. Arunagiri Nathar, and Senthanar Swamigal worshipped here and sang in Thiruppugal.

Thiru Velvi Kudi

A very ancient temple of Lord Siva Manavalewarar/Kalyana Sundarar and Ammai Parimala Sugantha Nayagi. Siva- Umai’s marriage homam, yagam took place here. The marriage of a king’s son was fixed by Lord Siva. The bride’s parents died, Siva ordered the Bootha Ganam and they brought the bride here. Siva did marriage for the bride with king’s son.

Ethir Kol Padi

A very ancient temple of LordSiva Iravathanathar and Ammai Malar Kuzhal Mathammai. Irawatham worshipped here. After Siva done marriage to the couple at Velvi kudi, He received the couple as Maternal Uncle here. Siva was received as the Bridegroom by Kathyayanar here.
