A very ancient Siva Temple of Arkya Boomeeswarar, where Booma Devi prayed to lord Siva. Also Ramar, Laxman, and Agathiar worshipped Siva here.

Once, the Nandi here, was sent to Thiru Vengadu for “Maruthuvasuran Vatham." Hence, there are two Nandhis one facing East and other towards (west) Thiruvengadu.
